"Steller Symphony: Breathtaking Capture of a Dying Star by the James Webb space telescope"

what is the James Webb telescope?

The james webb telescope is a powerful infrared space telescope developed by NASA, ESA, and CSA. Its high resolution and high sensitivity instrument allows it to view object that is too old and distant. It orbits the sun 1.5 million km away from the Earth at the second Lagrange point (L2).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Images of the end stage of a distant star's life have been captured by the James Webb space telescope. The distance between the dying star and the Earth is about 2600 light years.

  • The telescope has also detected the most distant active supermassive black hole, CEERS 1019, formed just 570 million years after the Big Bang.

Through this, we can finally find out about the life cycle of stars.
